Paradise Pow Wow July 11 & 12 2015 Cancelled
Due to circumstances beyond our control the Paradise Pow Wow committee regrets to announce the cancellation of the 2015 Paradise Pow Wow. We apologize for any problems this decision may cause.
Out of respect, all Head staff were notified prior to this posting. We apologize for the delay in this notification, due to the unexpected passing of a Committee Elder. All vendor application fees previously paid will be refunded ASAP.
We are looking at changing the date for next year so please check back for updates! Many exciting things are coming for the 2016 Paradise Pow wow. We hope you will join us next year for our 20th anniversary celebration! Even though the pow wow has been cancelled for this year the Committee would like to announce that it has awarded a 2015 scholarship to a Chico State Nursing student.
The Paradise Pow Wow, first held in 1996, is a traditional inter-tribal non-competition Pow Wow. Held on the grounds of the Gold Nugget Museum, in Paradise California, our Pow Wow is fun and exciting for the whole community, as we strive to keep Native American Traditions alive. This is a free event, open to the public. All Drums and Dancers are welcome
The Paradise Pow Wow committee works hard to educate the community on Native culture and tradition through Drum, Song and Dance. The Pow Wow consists of Native American vendors, food booths, and activities. During this two day gathering Native American artifacts and various handmade items and collections are on special display at the museum and open to the public to view and enjoy.
The Paradise Pow Wow is held every July following the 4th of July weekend, landing on July 11th & 12th for 2015. The Paradise Pow Wow is a fundraiser for the Katie Marie Prosser Memorial Scholarship Fund which benefits Native American students.
